The Presidents of the Czech Republic and Slovakia began the second day of their visit to Ukraine, for which they planned a trip to the regions.
This is reported by “European truth”.
The President of Slovakia, Zuzana Chaputova, published a view of Sofiyivska Square in the morning and noted that she would go on to the regions of Ukraine.
Czech President Petr Pavel later wrote that he was in the Dnieper. It is not known for sure whether the leaders went there together.
“Today I traveled further east to demonstrate that the Czech Republic is serious about the idea of patronage over the Dnipropetrovsk region. I assured Governor Sergei Lysak that they would not be one on one during the recovery process,” the president said on his Twitter.
In a commentary to ČT , he said that the Czech Republic plans to primarily focus on humanitarian support – for internally displaced persons, healthcare institutions, transport, the energy sector, and education.
Earlier, the president announced that the Czech Republic would open a consulate general in Dnipro , which would help develop cooperation.
Recall that the presidents of the Czech Republic and Slovakia arrived in Kyiv on the morning of April 28, immediately after the massive Russian missile attack on Ukrainian cities.
In the evening , they had to spend part of the program in shelter due to a new air raid.
It is quite rare for foreign top officials to stay overnight in Ukraine as part of visits during a full-scale war.
