TOP universities in Malaysia are expected to hold exhibitions in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar with aim of showing Tanzanians various courses they offer.
The exhibitions will be held on the July 28 and 31 in Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam, respectively.
According to the organiser of the exhibitions, Mr Abdulmalik Mollel, the exhibitions are coordinated by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), which is an agency of the Malaysian government.
Mr Mollel said the expected universities are the best ones in Malaysia, urging the students to utilise the opportunity.
He said it will be an opportunity for people who want to pursue certificates, diplomas, masters and PhD degrees, adding that they should take advantage of this rare opportunity of meeting representatives of those universities.
He also said Tanzanian universities will have chance to forge cooperation with the Malaysian universities in various areas.
“Universities should take advantage of opportunity to establish relationship with the Malaysian universities in different areas such as engineering courses, business courses and health or student exchange programmes,” said Mollel.
Mr Mollel also asked financial institutions that offer loans to higher education students in Zanzibar and Mainland Tanzania as well as NGOs supporting students to use this opportunity of meeting representatives of the universities for cooperation.
