DODOMA: Tanzania is expected to host the 13th Annual Africa Food Systems Forum (AGRF) scheduled from September 5th   to 9th this year at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Center in Dar es Salaam.

Minister for Agriculture, Hussein Bashe made the announcement in Dodoma today, noting that more than 3000 participants are expected to be in the forum, including stakeholders in the world’s agricultural sector, development investors, financial institutions, researchers, agricultural traders, large farmers and governmental leaders.

He said Tanzania got the opportunity to host the forum after its successful participation in a competition to organize the major agricultural event in Africa, (AGRF).

“I invite all Tanzanians to participate in this forum. The application to attend is found online so it’s easy, but for those who will need more information can call 0755 800 200 directly to the ministry,” Mr Bashe said.

In March this year President Samia Suluhu Hassan officially launched the Africa’s Food System Forum 2023 to advance the agriculture and food systems agenda on the continent.
